Job summary

LandSure Systems Ltd. is hiring a Senior Software Developer to join our Technology division in Vancouver.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and validating features for digital products in an agile SCRUM environment, with opportunities to own significant portions of the product and influence our hybrid cloud services. You’ll work across UI to backend microservices, mentoring teammates and delivering highly available web products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years’ experience as a software developer in J2SE/J2EE.
• Experience with software architecture activities
• Experience in agile SCRUM environment
• Experience implementing RESTful web services, SOAP, OAuth, JWT
• Experience with RDBMS (DB2, MySQL)
• Experience in AWS preferred
• Experience with AngularJS/Angular/Spring/Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, Kafka preferred
• Experience with CI/CD using GitLab, Kubernetes, Ansible preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the software team to deliver business and non-functional needs with clean, efficient code.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure alignment with architecture and best practices
• Maintain software architecture integrity and ensure changes meet business requirements
• Deploy software with application support teams and verify deliverables
• Lead complex enhancements and ensure successful execution
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
• Integrate components and implement automated testing, logging, and telemetry
• Champion improvements to development best practices
• Deliver scalable, reliable web services and observability
• Communicate progress and issues to SCRUM team
• Mentor and train fellow developers
