Job summary

Landmark Software & Services in Calgary, a Halliburton company, seeks a technically credible team lead who writes code and guides a small delivery team. You will own features end to end, drive design reviews, and set technical direction while partnering with Product Management.

Strong background in cloud-native development, CI/CD, and data platforms is preferred. Energy industry experience is a plus, but applicants from all backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, F#, C++, Python, or TypeScript with React/Angular/Node.js.
• Experience owning the full development cycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing and delivery.
• Experience debugging production software and tracing root causes across components.
• Experience coordinating the technical work of a delivery team, even informally.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to explain trade-offs to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship software: own features end to end from requirements to delivery.
• Fix weaknesses in code, tests, and development processes.
• Investigate production defects and trace root causes across components.
• Apply secure coding practices and review code for security issues.
• Evaluate and integrate open-source tools that improve systems.
• Stay close to the code to guide technical delivery decisions.
• Lead a small delivery team and translate product requirements into concrete plans.
