Job summary

Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. in Wallenstein, Ontario, is looking for a software developer to join a growing team. You will develop and maintain customer-facing and internal applications supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations.

The role emphasizes building APIs, UI work with modern frameworks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a friendly, fast-paced environment. A strong background in .NET, SQL Server, and DevOps practices is required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with .NET using C#.
  • 4+ years building UIs using a modern component-based framework.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience using relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
  • Experience using modern DevOps practices with Git version control.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, with the willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while balancing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver critical business applications in a high‑impact manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain and enhance web, mobile, and desktop applications for customers and operations.
  • Build and consume APIs for seamless frontend-backend communication.
  • Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and performant.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.

As a member of our small but growing software development team, you will create and maintain a variety of operational and customer-facing web, mobile, and desktop applications to meet business requirements and standards for quality, performance, and security. Your work and experience will have a direct influence on the product and processes at WFS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working in a high impact manufacturing environment to deliver critical business applications

  • Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience with .NET using C#.
  • 4+ years building user experiences using a modern component-based UI framework.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Position Details:

This position is based at our modern office building located in Wallenstein, Ontario, only a 15 minute drive out of Kitchener-Waterloo and works primarily Monday to Friday, 40 hour work week. We offer a very competitive salary, group benefits, employer contributed RRSP, on-site gym and many other employee perks.
