Job summary

Canada Packers is hiring a Production Operator at the Souris Feed Mill. Join a collaborative team and help produce high-quality animal feed in a safe, efficient environment. The rotating shifts include weekends and holidays, with a starting wage of $19 per hour.

You will work with maintenance technicians and drivers to meet daily production goals, learn new processes, and contribute to a fast-paced operation. Benefits include health/dental/vision, pension, vacation, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed.
• Complete required paperwork for assigned tasks.
• Follow manufacturing practices and safety policies.
• Follow housekeeping standards.
• Operate plant equipment to meet daily production targets.
• Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines.
• Communicate changes in product flow or equipment issues to Team Lead or Maintenance.
• Collect raw material and final product samples and perform tests to ensure specs are met.
• Measure and weigh ingredients.
• Follow quality standards and document feed safety.

Responsibilities:

• Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed
• Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks
• Following manufacturing practices & safety policies
• Following housekeeping standards
• Operation of plant equipment to achieve daily production targets
• Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines
• Communicating any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Team Lead or Maintenance
• Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure raw material and final product meet specifications
• Measuring & weighing of ingredients
• Following quality standards and ensuring proper documentation for feed safety
