We are hiring a Senior Service Journeyperson Electrician in Kamloops, BC, and surrounding areas. This role involves hands-on service work and supporting business growth in the area.

Compensation ranges from $40 to $45 per hour, with immediate health and dental benefits, and RRSP matching after one year, totaling approximately $42.95 to $48.10 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Providing professional customer service
• Quoting and estimating small service jobs
• Business development: contacting clients, attending meetings, and follow-up calls
• Using computer systems such as Accubid, Outlook, Excel, Jonas
• Troubleshooting electrical components
• Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
• Testing with multi-meters, meggers, etc.
• Maintaining a positive attitude with clients and colleagues
• Installing electrical components in residential and commercial structures
• Performing renovations and additions to electrical systems
• Leading and instructing apprentices
• Being punctual and reliable on worksites
• Understanding Arc Flash and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures

Qualifications

• Service experience required
• Experience in other electrical fields is an asset
• Valid Class B FSR preferred; willingness to obtain in future
• Extensive knowledge of CEC standards
• Basic hand tools, multi-meter, cordless power tools
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Safety tickets (e.g., First Aid, Fall Pro, AWP, Confined Space, Arc Flash) are assets
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work out of town, on call, longer or evening shifts
