Job description

The Sr. Salesforce Engineer is responsible for design and development on the Salesforce platform for complex business and technology initiatives for our various lines of business, day-to-day operations of Salesforce applications, providing thought leadership, navigating us through production issues and investigations, and being a key advocate of efficiency and continual improvement as we work to modernize.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

1. Analyse and estimate effort for new scope and requirements
2. Design and develop on the Salesforce platform on multiple complex initiatives, and operations and stability of the application ecosystem
3. Stay abreast of modern technologies and best practices, and recommend the introduction of new technology and processes
4. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and manage admin functions for the Salesforce platform
5. Support the business team in the proper use of Salesforce by focusing on configuration rather than customization
6. Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis and implement fixes; utilize internal defect tracking tool to create detailed, high-quality error reports
7. Work with product owners and test engineers to support QA processes, review test plans, test coverage and help improve test automation

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform and overall 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems.
2. Must be well versed with Apex, Visual Force Pages, Salesforce Lightning Components and Integration Patterns.
3. Must be familiar with Integrating Salesforce with other cloud-based application systems using REST, SOAP API, Talend, Informatica, Mulesoft.
4. Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines. Eg: Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git
5. Good understanding of packaged-based deployments, Metadata API and Ant.
6. A minimum of 1+ year experience on Salesforce Lightning Components and Aura Framework.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
8. At least 2 or more certifications on Salesforce from the following before joining (certifications will be checked and validated)
9. Experience on Financial Services Cloud
10. Experience with Salesforce DX
11. Ability to work in cross-functional teams
12. Experience in agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban
