Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in financial services, preferably back office.
  • Experience with end-to-end technology product delivery.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Role: Senior Business Analyst

This role requires Salesforce knowledge and functions as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. You will ensure clear documentation and communication of business requirements and vision. As an emerging leader, you will analyze business needs, facilitate communication among stakeholders, support project delivery, and act as a positive change agent within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure requirements are thoroughly documented and add value to the user experience, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  2. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to gather requirements and manage expectations.
  3. Manage communication and conduct training to support user adoption of Salesforce enhancements.
  4. Monitor training effectiveness and KPIs to ensure successful change initiatives.
  5. Understand the product backlog and translate business requirements into digital solutions.
  6. Support project execution, overcoming roadblocks, and minimizing impact on business processes.
  7. Manage project tasks throughout the project lifecycle, including documentation, communication, and stakeholder updates.
  8. Support testing, implementation, and transition to steady-state maintenance.
  9. Contribute to artifacts that align with Scotiabank’s Enterprise Delivery Framework, including business cases and cost/benefit analyses.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Effective leadership, including ownership and responsibility during project execution.
  • Knowledge of training methodologies tailored to business needs.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with project lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and drive for solutions.
  • Experience with end-to-end technology product delivery.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles.
  • CBAP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in financial services, preferably back office.
  • Salesforce experience and certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.
