AIM is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to lead the Atlantic industrial account sales team in Dartmouth, NS. You will manage scrap metal purchasing within a defined territory and foster growth by building strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Qualifications

• College diploma required in commerce, sales, marketing, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in sales, preferably recycling/industrial.
• Valid driver's license.

• Willing to travel occasionally for meetings and trainings.

Job Description

As a Senior Sales Representative, you will lead the Atlantic industrial account sales team in collaboration with head office. You will have the ability to manage the purchasing of scrap metal within a defined territory and support business growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.

What you’re responsible for:

• Purchasing scrap metal to support tonnage and profitability targets;
• Visiting industrial suppliers in person to promote new and repeat business opportunities;
• Serving as a trusted point of contact for suppliers by providing pricing information, answering questions, and resolving issues;
• Supporting prospecting efforts to identify new customers and business opportunities;
• Developing a network of contacts to gather market insights and pricing trends;
• Leading profit and loss analysis;
• Developing knowledge of yard operations to better understand and support pricing strategies;
• Coordinating with administrative staff and the sales team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions.

Qualifications

• You have a College Diploma in Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent experience;
• You have a minimum of 5 years experience (experience in recycling, metals, or industrial sales is an asset);
• You have a valid driver's license;
• You have strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills;
• You have strong skills in analyzing results;
• You have excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
• You are able to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and trainings.
