Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive market development across targeted sectors, building relationships with clients and partners.

You will negotiate purchasing terms, coordinate with operations and logistics, and travel to sites, with Cornwall as a key support location.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or business degree required.
• Valid G driver's license with clean abstract.
• 1-2 years of sales experience or similar.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bilingual (French and English).

Responsibilities

• Actively reach out and develop potential clients in targeted sectors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as scrap dealers, recycling centers, and logistics providers.
• Negotiate purchasing, pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with clients and suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, finance, marketing, logistics, and customer service.
• Travel to different locations, mainly supporting Cornwall.

What you’re responsible for:

• Working directly with clients or suppliers to negotiate purchasing, pricing payment terms and delivery schedules
• Effectively collaborating with various internal teams such as operations, finance, marketing, logistics, and customer service
• Travelling to different locations, mainly supporting Cornwall

Qualifications

To join our team:

• You have a post-secondary diploma or business degree
• Have a valid G drivers license and clean drivers abstract
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a sales role or similar
• You have good numeracy skills
• You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft programs (outlook, word, excel, etc)
• You are bilingual (French and English)
