Job description

Senior Sales Manager Job opportunity in the Capital City of Canada: We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager for an iconic hotel in the Capital City of Canada.

Main Responsibilities :
  • Research assigned markets to identify potential sources of business/clients within the market segments assigned.
  • Actively solicit business for the assigned market through pre-planned personal sales calls, mailers, marketplaces, attendance at receptions, promotions, in-person meetings, etc.
  • Follow up on all sales activities and log all activities accurately.
  • Confirm all bookings, quotes, and negotiate rates while adhering to hotel rate structure, credit policies, and general hotel and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Meet the sales quota pre-determined by the Director of Sales.
  • Maintain client production tracking and re-qualify or re-solicit clients when production drops.
  • Maintain close, in-person contact with clients or groups during their stay to ensure satisfaction and facilitate future business.
  • Engage with client/consumer feedback to maintain product standards and meet needs.
  • Maximize hotel revenue in the assigned market through sales strategies or packages, including F&B sales.
  • Maintain full market knowledge regarding competitors' products, rates, positioning, and policies.
  • Attend trade shows and marketplaces as needed.
  • Log sales reports to the DOS, outlining all sales activities.
  • Attend all sales meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Requirements :
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to create memorable experiences.
  • Outstanding guest service and sales skills.
  • Flexible hours based on upcoming events, including weekends and evenings.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience.
  • Previous hotel catering or event venue experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Opera and Microsoft Word/Excel is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal); French is an asset.
Salary and Bonus :

80-85K + 5% bonus after three months.
