Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Baking or Culinary program from an established institution.
• Minimum 5 years baking experience.
• Strong knowledge of food trends, sanitation and cost controls.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough for pies, bread and rolls and batter for muffins, cookies, cakes, icings and frostings per recipes or orders.
• Ensure product quality meets established standards.
• Develop recipes under Chef’s guidance.
• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce.
• Monitor baking process and adjust as needed.
• Follow recipes or create new ones to implement products.
• Prepare all baked items.
• Keep cases filled with product.
• Maintain tidy production areas and equipment.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures.
• Volunteer for open shifts as required by staffing variations.
