Job summary

Unity Health Toronto's MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions seeks a Senior Research Associate to support the adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of Housing First programs for individuals primarily living outdoors. This on-site role in Toronto requires a PhD and experience conducting semi-independent research.

The candidate will collaborate with partners, supervise junior staff, and contribute to funding proposals, ethics submissions, and dissemination across Canada.

Qualifications

• PhD in clinical psychology with a focus on homelessness and community mental health.
• 5+ years of methodological training in mixed-methods health and housing research.
• Experience leading evaluation and research projects from conception to dissemination.
• Experience supervising students; strong writing and grant development skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the PI's research program with autonomy; design evaluation frameworks and study protocols.
• Lead evaluation projects from conception to dissemination; analyze data and publish findings.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and research trainees; manage project resources.
• Ensure ethical, regulatory, and safety compliance; contribute to funding proposals.
