Job summary

House of Friendship in Waterloo Region seeks a Health Initiatives Manager to lead the Health Initiatives team within ShelterCare and Supportive Housing, coordinating wraparound health supports and collaborating across programs.

This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours) involves supervision, staff development, program operations, data reporting, and ensuring safe, confidential service delivery, with evening/weekend coverage for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• University degree in Social Work, Counselling or related field.
• Professional registration in good standing with a regulated health professional college in Ontario.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience developing and coaching a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and support the team including coaching and development.
• Recruitment, retention, training, onboarding and performance assessment.
• Ensure a healthy and safe operation and data collection for program evaluation.
• Allocate staff and resources based on program needs and sites.
• Engage with funders and community partners to support services.
