The City of Toronto seeks an experienced Housing Consultant to supervise a team delivering housing options and supports through funding partnerships. You will lead effective delivery of housing and homelessness programs, fostering continuous improvement, capacity building and innovation.

Key responsibilities include managing funded programs, overseeing service providers, leading complex projects in a fast-paced environment, and ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual requirements

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a discipline relevant to housing or social services.
• Extensive experience managing complex projects and programs.
• Strong ability to influence and negotiate outcomes with stakeholders.
• Experience administering housing, grants or similar programs within a regulatory framework.
• Experience leading staff, conducting performance reviews and coordinating teams.
• Ability to analyze data to assess outcomes and inform decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with political acumen.

Responsabilités

• Leads delivery of funded housing programs and initiatives per divisional needs.
• Manages relationships with community service providers and monitors service quality.
• Leads complex projects in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Supervises staff, motivates teams, and promotes continuous learning and innovation.
• Oversees compliance with legislative/contractual requirements and risk management.
• Recommends remedial actions for providers not meeting requirements.
• Addresses contentious housing issues with diplomacy and documentation.
• Provides advice to service providers on governance, administration and budgeting.
• Develops training and presentations on legislative or operational issues.
