Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Canada is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to lead integration and end-to-end quality for Enterprise Imaging across on-premise and cloud deployments. You will set the strategy, establish automation standards, and mentor engineers to ensure evidence-based quality that safeguards patient care.

Based in Canada with remote flexibility, you will drive HL7, DICOM, and REST testing, oversee cross‑functional vendor quality engagements, and champion Playwright and GitHub Actions

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
• 5+ years in healthcare industry with clinical workflow knowledge.
• 3+ years in lead or technical leadership capacity.
• 3+ years API testing with REST, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience with HL7 and DICOM protocols.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the integration and end-to-end quality strategy across deployments.
• Define and uphold test standards and evidence traceability across boundaries.
• Lead quality engagements with third-party vendors and partners.
• Design and run end-to-end clinical workflow tests (HL7, DICOM, REST).
• Build UI and API test automation with Playwright and CI/CD integration.
