Job summary

Aplin is recruiting a Senior Property Accountant for a major Canadian real estate client. You will manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of income-producing properties, including lease administration, receivables, payables, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The role requires 4+ years in commercial property management, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with Yardi Voyager. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial property management.
• Experience with property accounting or real estate is an asset.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete accounting cycle for an assigned portfolio of income-producing properties.
• Prepare and review month-end working papers, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze monthly financial results and variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare year-end financial statements in accordance with IFRS or ASPE standards.
• Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages with variance analyses and property performance reports.
