As their residential property management platform continues to grow, they need to expand their experienced accounting team, which works closely with property operations, revenue administration, and senior leadership.

As a Property Accountant, you'll take ownership of the accounting and financial reporting for your own portfolio of approximately 15–25 residential properties. This is a true portfolio accounting role where you'll be trusted to understand your properties, manage the monthly accounting cycle, and ensure owners receive accurate, timely financial information.
You'll oversee the full accounting picture for your portfolio, including month-end close, accruals, general ledger and bank reconciliations, AP and AR, rent rolls, cash management, budgeting, year-end support and monthly financial reporting.
You'll prepare and review the balance sheet, income statement, trial balance, and supporting schedules, ensuring the numbers are complete and make sense before they reach ownership.
Working in Yardi Voyager, you'll collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager, another experienced Property Accountant, the Revenue Administrator, and the operations team.
You're an experienced Residential Property Accountant who is comfortable owning a portfolio of residential properties.
You bring strong accounting fundamentals and understand accruals, journal entries, the general ledger, reconciliations, month-end and financial statement preparation. This is a role where you will be expected to know your portfolio, understand the accounting behind the numbers and take responsibility for the quality of the financial information you produce.
You'll ideally bring approximately 3–5+ years of Property Accounting experience, including hands‑on residential or multi‑residential exposure and strong working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.
A diploma or degree in accounting is expected. Candidates pursuing their designation are welcome to apply.
Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership, works well independently, meets deadlines and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
This is an opportunity to join a Residential Property Management platform during a significant period of expansion.
With approximately 500 additional units coming into the business in early 2027 and further growth anticipated over the longer term, you'll have the opportunity to grow alongside the organization and take on increasing responsibility as the accounting function evolves.
The organization is also investing in Yardi and greater automation of transactional accounting processes, allowing its accounting team to focus more on financial reporting, review, analysis, and portfolio ownership rather than purely clerical processing.
If you are a Residential Property Accountant who wants to build a long-term career in residential real estate accounting with a company that is growing at a rapid rate, there will be future opportunities for you to develop your career within accounting.
The position offers a competitive base salary of $70,000–$85,000, plus a target annual bonus of approximately 10% and 3 weeks of vacation.
