Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise AV, videoconferencing, and VoIP deployments in a Toronto-onsite setting. You will own governance, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder alignment across multi-year initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years of I&T project management experience and hands-on AV/telecom expertise. You will collaborate with technical leads, vendors, and client teams in a fully onsite 5-day-week Toronto workspace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated project management experience leading complex I&T systems implementation projects on time and on budget.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with audio-visual, videoconferencing, VoIP, and communications technology deployment.
• Deep knowledge of technical standards and best practices for AV, IT infrastructure, and telecom deployment.
• Experience managing project budgets, procurement planning, vendor negotiations, and contract administration.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and change management skills to drive user adoption and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Author foundational charters, master project plans, WBS, and adoption strategies across all project lifecycle phases.
• Lead AV, videoconferencing, VoIP, and telecom technology deployments.
• Oversee IT procurement planning, vendor selection, and contract administration to meet enterprise standards.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and fiscal controls.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks; oversee QA, commissioning, and close-out.
• Build client relationships and drive user adoption through change management.
• Coordinate site work with local trades and ensure on-site installation and testing.

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite – 5 days/week required)

Duration: 11-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Project Governance & Master Planning: Author foundational project charters, master project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and business adoption strategies across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• AV & Telecommunications Leadership: Lead complex technology implementations involving enterprise audio-visual equipment, videoconferencing hardware/software, VoIP systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Procurement & Contract Administration: Manage I&IT procurement planning, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and equipment delivery to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Budgeting & Financial Management: Manage project budgets, refine cost estimates, track financial forecasts, and maintain strict fiscal controls.
• Risk Management & Quality Assurance: Identify technical and operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee quality assurance testing, commissioning, and final close-out deliverables.
• Stakeholder & Change Management: Manage client relationships, build high-performing technical project teams, and apply change management principles to drive user adoption across diverse business units.
• Site & Construction Coordination: Validate facility scope of work, oversee local trade contractors, approve functional design drawings, and ensure successful on-site installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Senior Project Management Experience: 5+ years of dedicated project management experience leading complex I&IT systems implementation projects on time and on budget (Strictly Required).
• Audio-Visual & Videoconferencing Technical Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on technical experience with audio-visual, videoconferencing, VoIP, and communications technology deployment (Strictly Required).
• Deployment & Best Practices Knowledge: Deep knowledge of technical standards and best practices for audio-visual, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications deployment (Strictly Required).
• Procurement & Financial Management: Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, procurement planning, vendor contract negotiations, and contract administration (Strictly Required).
• Stakeholder Alignment & Change Management: Strong communication, negotiation, and change management skills to build client relationships, manage risk, and drive user adoption (Strictly Required).
• Nice-to-Have Assets:
• Previous public sector or justice sector project management experience.
• Working knowledge of building telecommunications infrastructure design, IT security standards, and high-availability solutions.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Project, Visio, and enterprise procurement frameworks.
