Job Description
Responsible for the coordination and completion of IT projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
- Compile project charters and business/project plans to support activities, including the most suitable approach to be used in the development of each applicable project, to ensure business objectives and data integrity are achieved.
- Manage projects that will document business requirements, design, and deliver IT solutions compliant with the enterprise architecture.
- Assist with developing recommendations, including resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implications, and methodologies.
- Produce and package deliverables for presentation to internal support teams, steering committees, and project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects, resources, and governance.
- Work with project sponsors to ensure effective communication throughout the project, including risk escalation.
- Maintain client satisfaction, manage peer relationships, and overcome hurdles for win-win solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop a clear project plan detailing objectives, scope, timeline, resources, risks, benefits, and budget.
- Establish project organization structure with roles and responsibilities for stakeholders.
- Report project status against objectives, milestones, budget, and resources, and track issues and risks.
- Develop project schedules, estimate resource needs, and monitor work plans, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Guide resources in establishing priorities and prompt task delivery.
- Document related requirements as needed.
- Assess project outcomes with sponsors and identify improvement opportunities for future projects.
- Provide leadership for change management and communication support.
- Work within or define standards in collaboration with the project management office.
