Job description

Industrial / Municipal / Infrastructure Industry is a multi-disciplined, self-perform General Contractor actively seeking individuals who wish to advance within our organization and feel that their contributions directly affect the growth and direction of the company. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This individual should have a minimum of 8 years of experience and be well-versed in heavy civil and structural construction disciplines. Experience with structures (buildings) and process mechanical systems will provide added value.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Developing a cost-effective plan and schedule for project completion, following a logical resource utilization pattern.
2. Minimizing exposure and risk by implementing safety standards and quality assurance controls.
3. Coordinating work of subcontractors across various project phases.
4. Overseeing performance of all trade contractors and reviewing engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
5. Administering construction contracts and obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
6. Supervising assistant managers and superintendents, reviewing their reports, and addressing safety, quality, or other deficiencies.
7. Tracking and controlling construction schedules and costs to ensure timely project completion within budget.
8. Planning, implementing, tracking, and closing out construction projects, including conducting project meetings.
9. Managing daily operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory capacity.
10. Managing client interactions and expectations, either directly or through supervision.
11. Forecasting revenue, profitability, and project costs accurately.
12. Achieving or exceeding revenue goals for projects.
13. Generating and issuing regular project reports using company software (Viewpoint).
14. Proactively managing scope changes and ensuring appropriate measures are taken, including project scope and revenue projections.
15. Administering the Submittal Review process between subcontractors/suppliers and the owner or owner’s representative.
16. Reviewing field inspection reports from consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
17. Maintaining the Contract Execution Tracking Log.
18. Keeping management informed about project status and potential issues impacting client relations.
19. Periodic and short-term travel may be required for out-of-town projects.
