Overview

The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric positive approach to engaging external resources. This involves balancing the commercial needs of the business with mitigating risk to the firm. Key activities include:

• Utilizing internal contingent workforce experts, who stay current on market intelligence.
• Acting as trusted advisors, educating and challenging the status quo, and advising on creative solutions.
• Delivering a customer-centric approach by minimizing administrative efforts, anticipating needs, and collaborating closely with Hiring Managers.

Location: Anywhere in Canada, with a virtual work arrangement (1-2 days in office per month may be required).

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office, the Contract Manager will handle processes and challenges related to external resources across Canada, managing over 1000 external resources annually. Responsibilities include:

• Providing technical expertise to support hiring managers in engaging external resources.
• Managing complex cases and escalations independently.
• Handling contract revisions, risk assessments, change management, and relationship management.
• Collaborating with legal, risk management, procurement, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing high-risk cases related to legal compliance, classification, immigration, taxation, data security, and other regulatory requirements.

Additional Responsibilities include case management, continuous improvement projects, stakeholder education, and reporting.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years’ experience with contract labour or contingent workforce management, including drafting third-party agreements.
• Experience with immigration matters, legal negotiations, and risk assessments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This position requires fluency in English. The salary range is $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses, based on location and experience.
