Job summary

Mawg is seeking a Senior Project Manager & Project Management Lead to guide Mawg’s PM function while staying hands-on with complex, high-impact projects. You’ll set standards, mentor the team, and own delivery decisions across projects from intake to close-out.

You’ll lead timelines, budgets, and risk management while ensuring clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders, shaping how projects are run at a growing experiential studio in Canada.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience in fabrication, experiential, display, or creative production environments.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing Project Managers.
  • Strong understanding of creative production and manufacturing workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and production drawings.
  • Proficiency with Monday.com and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support Project Managers across all active projects.
  • Set and maintain standards for planning, documentation, communication, and delivery.
  • Build and improve PM workflows, tools, and best practices.
  • Balance resourcing and priorities across multiple timelines.
  • Act as the escalation point for risks, scope changes, and delivery challenges.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance development.
  • Lead PM status meetings, flagging risks and guiding next steps.
  • Maintain visibility across all active and upcoming projects.
  • Review timelines, budgets, workbacks, and critical paths for feasibility.
  • Identify bottlenecks, risks, or capacity constraints early.
  • Ensure project data is accurate and current in PM systems.
  • Communicate delivery health and priorities to senior leadership.
  • Directly manage complex, high-value, or strategically important projects.
  • Lead projects from intake through estimating, fabrication, installation, and close-out.
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Accounts, Design, Production, and Installation.
  • Keep decision-making efficient and projects moving forward.
  • Maintain clear, complete project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
  • Client & Stakeholder Leadership: Support PMs in managing client relationships and expectations; step into senior-level client conversations when needed; ensure proactive, transparent communication at key milestones; represent Mawg with professionalism.
  • Budget, Costing & Commercial Oversight: Oversee project budgets, estimates, and cost tracking; review and approve estimates, change orders, and scope adjustments; identify margin risks early; support post-project financial reviews and process improvements; oversee sourcing strategies for materials and services; review bills of material, work orders, POs, and packing slips; support PMs in managing vendor relationships.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager & Project Management Lead , you’ll guide Mawg’s Project Management function while staying hands-on with complex, high-impact projects. This role blends people leadership, operational oversight, and direct project delivery .

You’ll be the steady hand, setting standards, supporting your team, solving problems before they escalated, and stepping in when things get complex. You’ll act as the primary escalation point for delivery decisions while helping the PM team grow stronger, sharper, and more confident.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Review bills of material, work orders, POs, and packing slips
  • Support PMs in managing vendor relationships for quality, cost, and timelines
Risk, Change & Quality Management
  • Guide PMs through scope changes and issue resolution
  • Review drawings and technical details to flag risks early
  • Maintain quality standards from design through installation
  • Support installation planning, sequencing, and site readiness
  • Attend or oversee installations when needed
  • Help resolve on-site issues quickly and calmly
  • Ensure installs are safe, efficient, and aligned with Mawg standards
What We’re Looking For
Required
  • 7+ years of project management experience in fabrication, experiential, display, or creative production environments
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing Project Managers
  • Strong understanding of creative production and manufacturing workflows
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and production drawings
  • Proficiency with Monday.com and Google Workspace
Nice to Have
  • Experience in experiential marketing, pop-ups, or event-based builds
  • Familiarity with mixed-material fabrication environments
  • Hands-on installation or site leadership experience
