Responsibilities :
- Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
- Manage projects and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
- Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Develop and manage the budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
- Work with other project managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome project risks, and produce project reports for managers and stakeholders.
- Track progress against project milestones and hold others accountable for assigned tasks.
- Schedule internal and external project meetings while tracking and following up with action items.
- Identify barriers to successful project execution and escalate as appropriate.
- Build partnerships with various industry stakeholders and leaders.
- Manage contracts and agreements with clients to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
- Manage multiple project assignments in parallel to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage both Telecom and IT Infrastructure projects of varying complexity and size.
- Execute project management policies, guidelines, and parameters.
- Determine, establish, track, and manage project schedule timing and resource allocation to ensure targets are reached.
- Coordinate prioritization of projects to ensure consistency with corporate strategies.
- Report and monitor project budgets and statuses.
- Resolve problems and escalate issues as needed.
- Perform root cause analysis, issues management, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain regular communication among organizational leaders.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Develop and manage project charters, plans, schedules, and risk management plans.
- Oversee integration and alignment of internal and external resources and schedules.
Requirements :
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in R&D managing product deliverables (software and hardware).
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies (SCRUM, Sprint, SDLC).
- Understanding of ICT infrastructure requirements, including networking, telecommunications, hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Ability to work within a controlled PMO structure with defined processes.
- Knowledge of information and systems security, business risk, and continuity planning.
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred; certificates in project management will be considered for those with excellent track records.
- Experience in customer-facing roles with excellent presentation and listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills, capable of interacting with a wide range of IT and management professionals, including executives.
- Proficient in communication at all levels within an organization.
- Highly organized with the ability to track, manage, and resolve issues across multiple activities.
- Proactive in risk mitigation and issue resolution to ensure project success.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and process thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of data center technologies, telecom, and IP networks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, JIRA, and Smartsheet.
- Persistent with a high degree of tenacity to complete tasks on schedule.
- Adaptable to change, quick to learn new technologies and processes, and capable of making decisions and implementing management systems.
- Effective in building consensus across internal and external groups.
Qualifications :
- Ability to adapt to change and learn new technologies and processes; capable of setting priorities, making decisions, and implementing management systems.
- Diploma in technology or equivalent; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management, including managing delivery and deployment projects directly overseeing customer projects.
