Job summary

Robinson Consultants Inc. seeks a Project Engineer in Ottawa for municipal transportation design across local roads, complete streets, roundabouts and active transportation facilities. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects for public and private sectors and mentor junior staff.

Ideal candidates hold a P.Eng. with Ontario registration, 5+ years of design experience, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

Registered P.Eng. with PEO and a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree.
5+ years of progressive municipal transportation design experience.
Mentoring experience with junior engineers or technicians.
Strong client and interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
Familiarity with Ontario municipal/provincial design standards.

Responsibilities

Join project engineering team to define scope, budget, and schedules.
Design roadway geometry, intersections, active transportation facilities and safety features.
Coordinate permits, utility relocations, and stakeholder approvals.
Prepare engineering calculations, specs, quantities, and tender documents.
Develop reports, memos, minutes, and support proposals and client relations.
Provide technical support during construction and perform QA/QC reviews.
Stamp drawings and ensure quality control across documents.
