Job summary

Bird is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator based in Toronto to support Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating safety, quality, scheduling, cost controls and client/sub-contractor communications on complex trackwork or building projects.

You will help prepare budgets, schedules, submittals, and invoicing, run weekly progress meetings, manage subcontracts, and maintain positive relationships with clients and suppliers while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management.
• Eligible for, or have attained, E.I.T., P.Eng., CET, or PQS designations.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a project coordinator in large commercial, civil, or institutional projects.
• Experience coordinating track systems, station construction, or architectural finishes.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proven relationship-building with clients, sub-trades, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project requirements including safety, quality, admin, scheduling and cost controls.
• Assist with shop drawings approvals and information coordination with sub-trades.
• Prepare and update project budget, schedule and cost reporting.
• Participate in weekly subcontract progress meetings and tracking.
• Support billing schedules and invoicing with the client.
• Manage subcontracts, payments, disputes, and subcontractor performance evaluations.
• Develop positive relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards meet policy and legislation.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively and keep projects on track.
