  • Minimum 5 years of progressive construction experience in a Project Coordinator role.
  • Post-secondary education in construction engineering technology, civil engineering, construction administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience on active construction sites is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project administration, and scheduling software (Viewpoint, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Safety training such as WHMIS, CSTS, ACSA is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and support for all project documentation and administrative requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project files, logs, and records, including contracts, subcontracts, permits, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documents.
  • Ensure proper electronic filing, document control, and compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and distribute project reports, directories, and communications.
  • Manage procurement and purchasing, including subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, estimates, change orders, and proposals.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and estimates to support project execution.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain project schedules.
  • Apply for permits, utilities, and underground services as required.
  • Support project accounting, including progress claims, invoicing, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

What you will be doing:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded, addressing issues proactively.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Communication
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure progress and resolve issues.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and client updates.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure all site work complies with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety inspections, reviews, and meetings.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for safety plan compliance.
What you must have:

Other Information:
Working Conditions
  • Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
  • Office and site-based work, with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Site visits may involve exposure to outdoor and potentially hazardous conditions; full PPE compliance required.
