Job summary

Adecco Canada is recruiting a Project Controls Specialist for our client in Fort McMurray, AB. The role focuses on cost control, estimating, scheduling, forecasting, benchmarking, and project performance management for large-scale industrial capital projects.

You will support planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of projects, working with project managers, engineering and construction teams to keep scopes, schedules and budgets aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimating and project controls.
• Ability to interpret engineering and construction documentation.
• 5-7 years in project controls/cost control roles.
• Experience with large-scale oil and gas, mining, or energy projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• AACEI CCP designation is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost estimates for capital projects.
• Develop and update project schedules and track progress.
• Analyze cost and schedule variances and report to leadership.
• Support benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with project setup, cost forecasting and reporting.
