Zusammenfassung

Airswift is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our client's team on a permanent basis in Edmonton or Calgary. The role is within the Field Construction Unit, requiring hands-on control and leadership of the PC team both locally and globally.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in oil/gas or mining project controls, 7+ years in a managerial level (EPC/EPCM), with Primavera P6, Ecosys and Power BI skills, and will travel to site as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 15+ years’ experience as Project Controller in oil and gas or mining industries
• 7+ years’ experience as a Project Controls Manager preferably in EPC/EPCM projects
• Field project controls experience with a construction contracting company on oil and gas/mining projects is an asset
• Primavera P6 scheduling experience is required
• Working knowledge on Ecosys and Power BI is considered an asset
• Strong costing experience is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Aufgaben

• Take ownership of the project control activities including cost control, forecasting, progress and scheduling on EPC projects
• Interface with project personnel to establish WBS/CBS and ensure control applications are set up according to the project controls plan
• Interface with project controls team to setup, generate and update engineering/construction progress and cost reports
• Ensure accuracy of coding on all daily timesheets and organize cost coding on procurement requisitions and subcontractor invoices
• Manage project change management process including development and submission of change proposals
• Guide construction planners/schedulers in development and maintenance of resource loaded project schedules
• Ensure reporting timelines are met and data integrity is maintained
• Represent Project Controls in meetings with project team, client and subcontractors
• Organize monthly cost review and change management meetings
• Liaise with client for reporting purposes and prepare monthly financial reports

Airswift is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our client's team on a permanent basis in either Edmonton or Calgary. Our client is a major EPC multinational operating in various Energy, Process and Infrastructure-type projects and they are currently looking to add to their Field Construction Business Unit. This position will be sitting in their offices with some traveling to site as needed but Field Construction experience is a must have for this opportunity. The PCM will have a hands‑on role as well as managerial/leadership role and it will not be an oversight or supervision only.

Primary Objectives

To support the project control personnel of projects utilising the Worley Project Control Systems and processes in all phases of project execution Work with project teams to provide guidance on Project Controls requirements and data gathering Provide strong leadership to the entire PC team both locally and globally Ensure accurate and on‑time reporting of data

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the project control activities i.e. Cost Control, Management of Change, Forecasting, Progressing and Scheduling and Planning on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects and ensure integrity of the data being processed
• Interface with project personnel to establish project WBS/CBS and ensure that control applications are set up according to the project controls plan using approved control budget data, project WBS/CBS and appropriate control accounts/cost codes
• Interface with project controls team to setup, generate and update Engineering / construction progress and cost reports.
• Ensure accuracy of coding on all daily timesheets and organize cost coding on Procurement requisitions and Subcontractor invoices
• Manage project change management process including development and submission of change proposal for client approval, setup and maintenance of Change log
• Guide construction planners/schedulers in the development and maintenance of resource loaded project schedule
• Ensure all reporting timelines are met, and data integrity is maintained
• Represent Project Controls in meetings with project team, client and sub-contractor
• Organize monthly cost review and change management meetings
• Liaise with Client for reporting purposes
• Preparation of monthly financial reports for the project.
• Also prepare other financial analysis as required on an ad hoc basis
• Implement financial controls including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections
• Preparation of budgets in conjunction with engineering and construction team members
• Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between other team members, particularly on cost and planning (forecasting)
• Training and mentoring of project controls personnel
• Liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilisation of the project control systems based on project specific requirements and corporate guidelines
