Job summary

Allnorth in Calgary, AB seeks an Intermediate Project Controller to join our consulting teams supporting multiple projects across Western Canada. You will own financial tracking, forecasting, and cost control, translating contracts into WBS structures and providing insightful performance reporting.

The role requires site-based travel, strong Excel and ERP skills (BST10), experience with EVM and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and the ability to challenge project managers with

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in PM, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in project controls.
• Experience supporting multiple Project Managers and clients across concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of contract interpretation, project setup, WBS, forecasting, and client reporting.
• BST10 ERP experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
• Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) for client reporting.
• PMP or CAPM certification is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence.

Responsibilities

• Own financial tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis for a portfolio of projects.
• Develop, maintain, and explain project forecasts and EAC drivers.
• Investigate root causes of cost and schedule variances and provide actionable recommendations.
• Review time entries and cost allocations across projects to reinforce cost discipline.
• Lead bi-weekly project financial review meetings with Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, scope changes, and risks across active projects; maintain logs.
• Coordinate change order documentation and reflect approved changes in budgets and WBS.
• Support contract review, ERP configuration, and alignment of controls, reporting requirements.
• Prepare internal and client-facing reports, dashboards, and variance narratives.
