Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to support a portfolio of capital projects in Fort McMurray, AB. The role emphasizes cost control, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and overall project financial performance across multiple initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project cost control, strong capital project experience from about $5M to $100M+, and advanced Excel skills. AACEI CCP is an asset; engineering or business/finance degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Project Cost Control, Cost Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong experience supporting capital projects ranging from approximately $5M to $100M+.
• AACEI CCP designation is considered a strong asset.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cost forecasting, budgeting, earned value, change management, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and project controls systems experience.
• Preferred Industry Experience: Oil & Gas, Mining, Heavy Industrial Construction, EPC / Capital Projects and Large Infrastructure Projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple capital projects.
• Develop and maintain project cost reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Analyze planned vs. actual costs and provide recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Support project estimating, change management, and trend analysis.

Job description

Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to support a portfolio of capital projects within a large industrial environment. This role is heavily focused on cost control, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and project financial performance across multiple capital projects.

We're looking for an intermediate to senior-level professional with strong project controls expertise and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Contract: 12 months with high possibility of long term extension

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8-Hour Days

Pay Rate: $60 - $80/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple capital projects
