Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Manager, Project Controls, Technical Services to lead the Pacific Link project controls team, establishing standards for cost, schedule, estimating, risk and reporting across partners and contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, 10+ years in project controls, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and Smartsheet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible project controls experience, including leadership in major capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of stage-gate delivery, baseline development, forecasting and risk.
• Experience leading integrated controls across cost, planning and reporting; familiarity with governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project controls strategy, standards and operating rhythms across Pacific Link.
• Lead cost control, scheduling, estimating, progress measurement and reporting; provide forecasts and actionable insights.
• Oversee change management, risk integration and benchmarking with disciplined control requirements.
• Lead the selection and use of project controls systems and ensure data integrity and dashboards for leadership.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain and Finance to integrate controls across functions.
• Build and lead a high-performing project controls team with clear objectives and accountability.
