Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation, Canada's only pipeline system for refined products, seeks a Construction Manager for the Pacific Link. You will support planning and development of facilities by partnering with the Project Manager and external consultants to develop estimates, schedules, CEPs, and readiness activities.

You will lead constructability reviews and risk assessments to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery of a major infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in PM/CM or planning and execution of complex capital projects.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
• Excellent communication, respectful, and professional.
• Strong organizational skills to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and collaborative workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction planning guidance to the Project Team members.
• Develop the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) for the assigned facilities.
• Ensure the Stage-Gate deliverables and all other applicable processes assigned are developed and followed.
• Engage and work collaboratively with the Pacific Link internal stakeholders to ensure alignment during CEP development.
• Identify the need for specialized external consulting in collaboration with SCM regarding procurement, materials and contracts.
• Effectively manage external consultants to meet development schedules and timelines.
• Ensure planning documents and deliverables meet Stage Gates quality requirements.
• Ensure facilities design undergoes constructability reviews and EH&S considerations are included.
• Identify and select engineering, procurement, and construction resources balancing cost and risk.
• Ensure EH&S strategies are considered in estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
