Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation is seeking a Project Manager, Pacific Link, to lead planning and development of new Pacific Link facilities, including pump stations and terminals, reporting to the Project Director. This in-office, contract role requires strong leadership, cost estimating, scheduling, and contractor management.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• P.Eng. designation is considered an asset.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project/construction management or complex capital projects.
• Ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Effective communication skills, clearly and professionally.
• Strong organizational skills to manage priorities, deadlines and detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance to the project team members.
• Develop the Project Execution Plan.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to develop the Construction Execution Plan.
• Develop bespoke estimates and schedules for facility construction locations.
• Ensure Stage Gate processes and related processes are followed.
• Engage stakeholders to align during proposal development.
• Identify need for external consulting with SCM for quality, cost and schedule.
• Effectively manages external consultants to meet development timelines.
• Ensure planning documents meet completeness and quality at Stage Gates.
• Ensure constructability reviews and include constructability in estimates and risk.
• Balance engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning strategies for cost/risk.
• Ensure EH&S and quality strategies are considered in estimates and schedules.
• Create and deliver quality reports and presentations on project development.
