You will be responsible for balancing the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related, as well as facilitating conversations between relevant stakeholders (executives, engineers, analysts, product teams, and data consumers).

This role is part of our central data team which is responsible for data flow and business logic across the organization - from the production of raw data through consumption by Reporting and ML stakeholders. You will sit at the center of some of Unity’s most critical initiatives and have a chance to make a lasting impact across our business.

What you'll be doing
  • Define data flow from data generation or ingestion, through transformation and storage, to consumption for machine-learning models or analysis.
  • Work to deeply understand the data needs of internal customers and collaborate with engineering on the best ways to execute on those requirements.
  • Define and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the data products you manage, aligning with Unity’s overall objectives.
  • Translate complex requirements of large data initiatives into clear actionable items.
  • Prioritize data initiatives across a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate a cross functional team of engineers and analysts.
What we're looking for
  • Experience as a data product manager working with large volumes of data at scale.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills with the ability to work with cross functional stakeholders across the organization.
  • Deep domain knowledge in data modeling, database design, and data lakehouse architectures with the capability to drive technical decisions with engineering colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and data driven decision making skills.
  • Knowledge and hands-on SQL experience.
  • A demonstrated track record of delivering results through shipping products.
