You will actively contribute to developing our data platform that supports reporting, analytics, and AI capabilities. Reporting to the Director of Data Platform Engineering, you will provide guidance and technical leadership to a team of software and data platform engineers. What You'll Do:

1. Write reliable, reusable, and scalable code, applying OOD principles.
2. Lead architecture, design, and development of end-to-end cloud-based solutions supporting data integration, ingestion, observability, and fulfillment, including real-time streaming and batch pipelines.
3. Manage software engineers, providing support and coaching through the agile development lifecycle.
4. Champion high standards of technical and operational excellence. Challenge assumptions to improve design and ensure scalable products.
5. Partner with product owners and technical leaders on planning, sizing, and estimating roadmaps.
6. Maintain best practices and documentation for data frameworks, including planning, cross-team coordination, code reviews, and presentations.
7. Attract, mentor, and develop a world-class engineering team.

What You'll Bring:

1. University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
2. People management experience and ability to develop a high-performing team.
3. Extensive experience in software engineering, OO programming, or data analysis.
4. Strong SQL skills and experience with query optimization for relational or NoSQL databases.
5. Ability to take initiative, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across the enterprise.
6. Self-starter, detail-oriented, and a great team player.
7. Experience with cloud data platforms such as Google Cloud (Dataflow, BigQuery, Airflow) preferred.
8. Experience with Data Lake and Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive) preferred.
