The Global Performance Measurement Team manages performance measurement solutions, including Planning and Forecast applications and Financial Information Systems across various business lines and enterprise finance functions.

The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems to support IT&S Finance, enterprise finance functions, and the broader IT organization. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, and enabling advanced analytics for strategic decision-making. Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, finance professionals, and the FIS team is essential to deliver cost-effective, timely data solutions, including system enhancements, reporting, and performance measurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines for large volumes of financial data from diverse sources such as market feeds, transaction systems, and third-party APIs.
2. ETL Development: Build and automate ETL processes using tools like Data Stage to integrate structured and unstructured financial data into data warehouses or lakes.
3. Systems Enhancements & Support: Provide development, testing, implementation, and maintenance support for IT&S Finance and Financial Information Systems, ensuring high reliability and performance.
4. Data Quality & Governance: Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulations like GDPR and SEC.
5. Project Management: Support system initiatives by gathering requirements, designing solutions, managing project plans, and facilitating change management and training.
6. Technology Solutions Evaluation: Collaborate on assessing technology solutions to enhance IT&S Finance objectives, including preparing business cases and stakeholder presentations.
7. Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing process improvements in data pipelines, reporting, and system performance.
8. Collaboration: Work with peers, clients, vendors, and stakeholders on projects, system enhancements, and reporting requests.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong SQL skills with 8-10 years of experience in querying and optimizing relational and OLAP databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• At least 5 years of experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Oracle BI (OBIEE).
• Experience with MS SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
• Knowledge of Financial Management tools like Oracle Hyperion Planning and BI, and IT Financial Management tools such as Apptio.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex issues, and communicate effectively.
• Strong leadership skills, client focus, and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Effective team collaboration and negotiation skills.
