Job summary

Amazon Business Operations - Analytics and Tech is seeking a Product Manager to own the roadmap for bulk and large order fulfillment. You will work with engineering teams to overhaul sourcing, consolidation, packing and shipping for very large orders—and measure outcomes against business goals.

You will write PRFAQs and requirements documents, negotiate scope with product and engineering leaders, and own metrics such as deliveries per order and delivery date accuracy.

Qualifications

• You have 3+ years of product management experience.
• You have managed technical products or online services.
• You have led cross-functional teams to deliver major new products or services.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for bulk and large order fulfillment, from customer problem through launch and measured outcome.
• Write the documents that get the work funded and built: PRFAQs, business requirements documents, and annual and three year planning inputs.
• Act as the requirements owner with partner engineering teams in fulfillment planning and fulfillment center technology, not a ticket filer.
• Define how Amazon consolidates a large order into as few deliveries as possible, including palletized delivery and customer selected delivery dates.
• Define how a request for many individual units can be served from cases and pallets of the same product, working through inventory, receive and pick changes.
• Build the case for dedicated bulk fulfillment capacity, including moving product from suppliers to customers without a putaway step.
• Replace manual operator work with automation across sourcing, consolidation and promise, and track the reduction.
• Own the metrics: deliveries per order, delivery date accuracy, ship cost per unit and contribution profit per unit.
