Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Technical Writer III to craft customer-focused product documentation for features, release notes, and API docs. You will collaborate with writers, SMEs, product managers, engineers, and designers to understand complex products and set writing standards.

This hybrid role requires 2–3 days per week on-site at our Toronto, Canada office once the development center is established, with a strong emphasis on user-centric communication and AI-driven workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of writing samples communicating technical information in a modern, conversational voice.
• Excellent writing skills with strong information hierarchy and professional voice.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with tight deadlines.
• Exceptional audience analysis, communication, and problem solving.
• Experience addressing customer needs through documentation.
• Curiosity to improve authoring workflows with AI.
• Experience with DITA/XML and structured authoring.
• Familiarity with OxygenXML Editor.
• Experience using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or similar.
• Understanding of topic-based authoring and reusable information architecture.
• User-centric approach focused on customer needs.
• Strong user experience fundamentals.
• Experience utilizing AI to enhance decisions and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality documentation for new features, release notes, API docs, and more.
• Develop deep product knowledge through research and SMEs.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Contribute to writing standards, processes, and best practices.
• Advise and assist other writers and participate in reviews.
• Continuously integrate AI to improve quality and velocity.
• Define team strategy and independently manage projects.
• Advocate for the customer in all aspects of the job.
