Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Process Development Scientist to join their pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Kimberley, Canada. Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical process development.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, reaction kinetics, and purification techniques.
• Experience with process scale-up and technology transfer.
• Proficiency in relevant analytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical intermediates and final drug products.
• Conduct laboratory-scale experiments and pilot plant studies to evaluate process parameters and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Author process development reports, validation protocols, and technology transfer documentation.
• Ensure all process development activities comply with cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure smooth process implementation and transfer.
