Placements24 is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Chemical Engineer to drive Product Development initiatives from anywhere in Canada. You will translate market needs into scalable chemical processes and formulations, contributing to the creation and refinement of new products.
The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, 8+ years in product development and process scale-up, and strong DoE and data analysis skills.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in product development and process scale-up.
- Expertise in organic synthesis, formulation science, or materials science.
- Experience with DoE and data analysis.
- Strong remote-work and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new chemical products from concept to commercialization.
- Design and optimize synthesis routes and formulations for novel chemical compounds.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to validate process parameters and product performance.
- Collaborate virtually with R&D teams, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure successful product launch.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including process descriptions, safety data, and scale-up strategies.
- Evaluate raw material suppliers and ensure the quality and consistency of incoming materials.
