Job summary

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is seeking a Senior Analyst, Private Funds Operations to support private equity investments across the investment lifecycle, from onboarding to disposition. You will review trade documentation, ensure accurate accounting entries, coordinate funding activities, and partner with internal teams to resolve issues.

The role requires strong analytical and Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high volumes and tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or related discipline.
• CPA, CFA or CBV is an asset.
• Three to five years of experience in finance, accounting, fund accounting, consulting, private equity or related environment.
• Strong analytical, financial accounting and management accounting skills with advanced Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review trade documentation, accounting entries and materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support new investment closings by reviewing required documentation and coordinating funding.
• Process daily, monthly and quarterly accounting activities, reconciliations and reporting.
• Collaborate with Investment Departments, Structuring, Tax and Treasury to resolve issues affecting closing and funding.
• Prepare and review quarterly valuations, financial schedules and portfolio information.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to controls and workflows.
• Contribute to special projects and support Analysts in a collaborative, high-performing team.
