Job summary

Irving Oil seeks a Senior Portfolio Administrator to support portfolio management, reporting, and investment operations. You will deliver timely, accurate information and insights to aid planning, monitoring, and decision-making across the business.

You will develop portfolio reports, dashboards, and tools, perform variance analysis, and collaborate with portfolio managers to improve reporting efficiency and data quality while ensuring source-system reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in finance, business, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Professional designation or progress toward CFA, CIM, CFP, CPA or similar is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support regular portfolio, performance, and management reporting.
• Analyze and summarize portfolio performance against benchmarks, targets, and historical periods.
• Provide commentary and insights on portfolio results, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.
• Develop and maintain portfolio reports, dashboards, trackers, and administrative tools.
• Conduct variance analysis and ad hoc reporting for business and client needs.
• Ensure portfolio data, reports, and records reconcile with source systems.
• Support forecasting, planning, and reporting activities through data collection and analysis.
• Monitor portfolio activity and investigate discrepancies or data quality issues.
• Prepare materials and reporting packages for internal leadership and client meetings.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and operational teams to address reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, processes, and controls.
• Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships.
• Provide support for special projects and strategic initiatives.
