Job summary

Appficiency Inc. seeks a Senior PMO Director to advance the PMO to a strategic, directive function, driving governance, reporting discipline, and operating rigor across the portfolio. You will be the executive voice on health, resourcing, and performance, partnering with leaders and clients to keep plans on track.

You will lead senior project managers and delivery leads, shaping multi-year roadmaps, and ensuring real-time visibility into capacity, utilization, and project metrics.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction and operational roadmap for the PMO.

The Opportunity

As Senior PMO Director, you'll take Appficiency's Project Management Office to its next stage of maturity - building the governance, reporting discipline, and operating rigor that let the firm scale delivery with confidence. You'll be the executive voice on portfolio health, resourcing, and program performance, trusted by firm leadership and clients alike to keep the numbers accurate and the plan on track. This is a role for a PMO leader who has built real governance from the ground up, not just maintained an existing one - someone ready to elevate the function into a genuinely strategic, directive force within the business.

What You’ll Do

• Define and lead the strategic direction and operational roadmap for the PMO, aligned to business goals and delivery excellence
• Own the accuracy and timeliness of project performance reporting — including earned value management (EVM), budget health, risk, and scope-change tracking — that clients and leadership rely on to make decisions
• Establish and enforce a rigorous communication plan across every project team, ensuring consistent, high-quality reporting and stakeholder alignment at the project level
• Lead and develop Senior Project Managers and delivery leads across a complex, multi-project portfolio, building the next generation of PMO talent
• Execute a multi-year roadmap to elevate the PMO from a supporting function into a directive, strategic force within the business
• Provide direct, constructive feedback and take corrective action when execution drifts from strategy or plan
• Partner with Global Delivery leaders to ensure resource allocation stays matched to business, commercial, and customer success goals, with visibility maintained in real time across region, industry, and department
• Guide and resolve complex escalations across strategic accounts, protecting client trust and long-term retention
• Add measurable value to Appficiency's project management, coordination, and program management services, helping grow related sales alongside Sales and Solutions
• Champion a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the PMO, sharing best practices and driving innovation firm-wide

What You’ll Bring

• A career built on real portfolio governance, running individual projects, owning EVM, budget health, and risk reporting across a multi-project book of work
• 12+ years in project delivery, consulting, or PMO leadership, ideally within ERP, SaaS, or professional services environments
• At least 5 years managing managers or leading a multi-tier project team, with a track record of developing Senior PMs into stronger leaders
• PMP certification is a must for this role, reflecting the rigor and credibility this position demands at the portfolio level
• Direct experience leading a PMO through a maturity transformation - moving an organization from reactive, project-level support toward proactive, portfolio-level governance
• Strong business acumen, with genuine fluency in interpreting and acting on project financials, utilization, and capacity data
• Executive-level communication skills and the presence to be trusted as the definitive voice on delivery health in front of firm leadership and clients
• Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Monday.com, or JIRA; NetSuite Foundation certification is considered an asset given Appficiency's platform focus
