Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Baggage Handling Systems to lead a high-profile airport infrastructure program in Toronto. You will coordinate with senior managers to ensure scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk are aligned with program goals.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and at least 10 years in project management, including 5 years in major airport projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project/program management.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs related to baggage handling or similar systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs within an operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides specialist project management expertise.
• Works collaboratively with Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
• Manages contractor performance and escalates decisions as required.
• Interfaces with internal and external stakeholder groups to align consultations and approvals.
• Coordinates permits, approvals, consents, and site logistics with the contractor.
• Oversees delivery of works in scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk requirements.
• Coordinates change control procedures and escalates decisions as needed.
• Coordinates reviews, inspections and approvals across design, health and safety, quality, environmental and security requirements.
• Coordinates procurement activities and contract management.
• Coaches, mentors, and supports staff development.
