Job summary

BigGeo is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Calgary to build high-performance backend systems using Go, Rust, or C++. You will own critical platform services, drive observability, and optimize performance while collaborating with product teams.

You will mentor juniors, contribute to distributed systems, and advance CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code initiatives to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven track record in high-performance backend development.
• Proficiency in modern statically compiled languages.
• Strong understanding of immutability principles and their application.
• Expertise in writing efficient, reliable, and secure code.
• Proficient with manual and automatic memory management techniques.
