Job summary

Geologic, based in Calgary, is growing and seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development to lead a full-stack engineering team building modern, cloud-based applications. This hands-on leadership role focuses on keeping a demanding roadmap moving, growing engineers, and knowing when to involve senior architects.

You’ll drive an iterative development process, own release and project management, and ensure timelines, dependencies, and launches are planned and predictable, while coaching engineers

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a full-stack engineering team.
• Hands-on background building modern, cloud-based applications.
• Strong track record with iterative / agile development.
• Experience with release management and project management.
• Demonstrated skills management, developing engineers.
• Ability to manage demanding timelines without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional, full-stack engineering team spanning front-end and back-end.
• Own the health and output of the team end to end, including planning, shipping, quality, and people development.
• Drive an iterative development process with predictable releases and timelines.
• Coach engineers, manage stakeholder updates, and balance delivery with team health.
