BigGeo seeks a Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the core infrastructure powering the Spatial Cloud. You will ensure ingestion, processing, and delivery of spatial data at scale, working with engineering, data, and product teams to maintain reliability and evolvability.
You will contribute to core platform infrastructure, data pipelines, high-performance APIs, and deployment automation, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and outcomes.
BigGeo is the Spatial Cloud.
We help companies manage and access the world’s spatial data.
Any size, any slice, any insight.
Delivered in seconds.
BigGeo is defining a new category of infrastructure that makes real-world data usable at scale. Spatial data powers decisions across logistics, climate, infrastructure, energy, cities, and AI systems, yet it remains fragmented and difficult to operate in real time.
The Spatial Cloud provides a unified architecture that allows spatial data to be managed, accessed, computed, and delivered instantly across organizations and systems. By turning spatial data into a high-performance operational layer, BigGeo enables people, systems, and AI to act on real-world intelligence together.
Our platform exists to remove the complexity that historically made spatial data slow, difficult, and expert-dependent.
Joining BigGeo means contributing to technology that is shaping a new category as it takes form. The team BigGeo team is AI-enabled, cross-functional, and highly collaborative. We value ownership, clarity, and leveraging AI tools to build incredible momentum. The work moves quickly, expectations are high, and impact is visible because what we build is used in real-world environments.
If you want to do work with real-world impact and help build foundational technology that changes how organizations understand and use spatial intelligence, BigGeo is the place to build that future.
BigGeo is looking for a Platform Engineer to build and operate the core infrastructure that powers the Spatial Cloud.
This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining the platform systems that allow spatial data to be ingested, processed, and delivered reliably at scale. Platform Engineers ensure that the Spatial Cloud operates as durable, high-performance infrastructure capable of supporting real-world decision systems.
You will work closely with engineering, data, and product teams to ensure the platform remains reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly while supporting increasingly large spatial datasets and high-volume workloads.
Platform Engineers play a critical role in turning BigGeo’s architecture into production-grade infrastructure.
As a Platform Engineer, you will build and operate the systems that enable the Spatial Cloud to run reliably and scale globally.
You will contribute to:
Your work ensures that the Spatial Cloud remains stable, performant, and accessible to teams building spatial intelligence applications.
Platform engineering at BigGeo involves building modern, cloud-native infrastructure capable of processing large spatial datasets.
Common technologies include:
Operational collaboration tools include Slack, Google Workspace, and Monday.
BigGeo operates as a builder-driven startup environment where engineers are trusted to take ownership of systems and solve meaningful problems.
Engineers collaborate closely across platform, data, and product teams to design systems that support real-world spatial intelligence applications.
The systems you help build will become foundational infrastructure for how organizations understand and act on the real world.
