Job summary

Scheffer Andrew Ltd. is seeking a Planning Project Manager to join our Edmonton team. The role demands an experienced planning professional with land development expertise and strong knowledge of Alberta municipal planning processes.

You will lead complex planning applications, manage scope, schedule and budget, guide public engagement, and present to municipal Councils and committees while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with internal engineering and design teams.

Qualifications

• Urban planning degree required and RPP designation or eligibility.
• Minimum 15 years in land use planning with 10+ years of consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Alberta municipal planning processes and Edmonton area context.
• Experience presenting to Councils, committees, and stakeholder groups.
• Proven leadership, communication, mentorship, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead land development and municipal planning projects for private and public clients.
• Manage scope, schedule, budgets, and resource requirements across projects.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants for delivery.
• Guide public engagement and present to councils and boards as required.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development efforts.
