Job summary

Stantec Alberta North Community Development in Red Deer is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to lead and deliver complex site projects, manage budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction on residential, industrial and commercial developments in central Alberta.

You will oversee design and construction in collaboration with design and field leads, perform technical reviews, coordinate with municipalities, and guide junior engineers, with opportunity to stamp drawings and expand our

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of land development including site grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to coordinate with planning and landscape architecture requirements.
• Team player with collaborative approach.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; BlueBeam; AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and approve engineering drawings for site grading, water distribution, sewers, and erosion control.
• Technical review and stamping of engineering designs; stamping preferred.
• Prepare construction specifications and tender documents; administer contracts.
• Provide internal peer review of designs.
• Guide projects from concept through design, tendering, construction, and post-construction.
• Contribute to Area/Neighbourhood Plans and rezoning/subdivision Plans.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and obtain permits; ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Manage project schedule and budget; participate in business development.
