Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Senior Land Development Engineer to lead the design of land development projects, applying mature engineering judgment across disciplines.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with municipalities, and manage complex greenfield and brownfield sites from planning through to permits, ensuring high-quality deliverables for municipal approvals and client success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineer with APEGA.
Strong knowledge of land development including site grading, sanitary and storm sewer servicing, and water distribution.
Experience in Calgary and surrounding area strongly preferred.
Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design for complex greenfield and brownfield land development projects.
Review site grading and servicing designs including water, sewer, and stormwater.
Mentor junior staff and support project teams and client communication.
Coordinate with municipalities and approving authorities to advance projects.
Contribute to proposals, project scope, and design standards development.
